Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Supermarket Refrigeration Service Manager to lead our refrigeration maintenance and repair operations within the retail grocery sector. Duties
- Lead and supervise a team of service technicians specializing in refrigeration, HVAC, electrical systems, and mechanical repairs.
- Oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration units including ammonia refrigeration systems and HVAC equipment.
- Interpret schematics, blueprints, and building automation system diagrams to diagnose issues accurately.
- Conduct electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters; troubleshoot mechanical systems including boilers and air conditioning units.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations such as EPA standards; promote safe work practices across all operations.
- Coordinate field service activities for equipment repair, system upgrades, and preventative maintenance schedules.
- Maintain detailed records of service activities, equipment repairs, and system performance for reporting purposes.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction or property maintenance with a focus on refrigeration systems within retail or commercial environments.
- Extensive service technician experience with HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) systems including installation and repair.
- Strong mechanical knowledge encompassing plumbing, welding, boiler operation, and mechanical systems repair.
- Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams; familiarity with building automation systems and electrical systems diagnostics.
- Hands-on experience with HVAC system installation, maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues using hand tools and specialized diagnostic devices.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to operate a <PERSON> driver vehicle as needed.
- Certifications such as EPA refrigerant handling certification; knowledge of ammonia refrigeration safety protocols preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills; ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients and team members alike.
- Mechanical or mechanic experience is highly valued; proficiency in equipment repair including appliances used in commercial settings.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
