Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced UV CIPP Lining Crew Lead to oversee and execute trenchless rehabilitation projects for underground water and utility pipelines. In this role, you will lead a team of skilled technicians in the installation of ultraviolet (UV) cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) liners, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency on every project. You will be responsible for coordinating operations, maintaining equipment, and adhering to safety protocols while delivering exceptional results in outdoor utility environments. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a crew of technicians in the installation of UV CIPP liners within underground water systems, sewer lines, and utility pipelines.
- Operate heavy equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, bucket trucks, and rigging gear to prepare sites and facilitate pipe access.
- Perform underground utility locating, pipeline cleaning, and prep work to ensure safe and efficient liner installation.
- Manage equipment maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and ensuring all tools and machinery are in optimal condition.
- Oversee safety protocol adherence by enforcing proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), ladder use, climbing procedures, and electrical safety standards such as high voltage and low voltage awareness.
- Coordinate with project managers to plan daily tasks, monitor progress, and ensure timely project completion.
- Conduct fiber splicing, cabling, electrical work, and water system inspections as needed during project execution.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work activities, safety compliance records, and project logs.
- Provide on-call coverage for emergency repairs or urgent project needs outside regular hours.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading utility or construction crews in outdoor environments with a focus on pipeline rehabilitation or trenchless technology.
- Strong knowledge of heavy equipment operation including excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, bucket trucks, and rigging techniques.
- Familiarity with UV CIPP lining processes, fiber splicing, cabling, water systems maintenance, and underground utility locating.
- Ability to operate power tools such as grinders, welders, hand tools, and water jetting equipment safely and effectively.
- Mechanical aptitude with experience performing equipment maintenance and troubleshooting mechanical issues on construction machinery.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to high voltage electrical work, climbing procedures, manual handling, heavy lifting, and working at heights using ladders or scaffolding.
- Valid commercial truck driving license with experience operating large vehicles or utility trucks.
- Physical capability for manual handling tasks including heavy lifting; climbing; working in confined spaces; outdoor work in varying weather conditions; and using rigging or bucket operation equipment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate team efforts effectively while maintaining a strong safety culture.
- Experience working within the energy & utilities sector or similar infrastructure environments is highly preferred.

Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
