The Role
At KDi, we know that the press brake is where the "heavy metal" becomes a reality. We are looking for an experienced Operator who doesn't just push buttons but owns the setup. You understand the math behind the bend, you know how to read a print without needing your hand held, and you take pride in turning flat steel into high-precision components.
Our shop is growing fast, and we need an operator who thrives in a high-paced, two-shift environment where accuracy is the gold standard.
The Mission
- Master the Bend: Expertly operate and set up our Accupress 250-ton and Amada HRB 1303-M15 press brakes.
- Own the Accuracy: Be the final word on quality. Use your calipers, squares, and protractors to ensure every piece is dead-on to the print.
- Fuel the Floor: We are building tables, platforms, and complex weldments. Your speed and precision determine how fast the rest of the shop can weld and assemble.
- Solve the Problem: When a bend doesn't go right, you don't walk away—you "Work the Problem." You’re comfortable with flat layouts, bend allowances, and making the necessary adjustments to get the job done right.
Requirements
- The Experience: Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience with flat layout, bend allowances, and programming.
- The Tech: Proven experience running Accupress and Amada machines.
- The Mindset: You are a "Reliable Closer." You show up, you hit your numbers, and you don’t mind changing tasks if the shop's bottleneck moves to a different station.
- The Physicality: You can handle the heavy lifting (up to 75 lbs) and are ready to put in the time to meet our production deadlines.
