American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with critical care skills for a night shift position requiring intubation, airway management, and arterial line insertion proficiency.

Hospital-based respiratory therapy position within the RRT unit
-
Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
-
Every other weekend required
-
No on-call required
-
Floating may be required within the hospital (within scope of practice) and to a sister facility as needed

12-week contract

RRT credential required; CRT will not be accepted

Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience

Critical care skills required, including intubation, airway management, and arterial line insertion
-
License required if applicable — professional license must be active at time of consideration

First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Local candidates are accepted

Candidates must be away from all facilities in this health system for a minimum of 1 full year before returning as a traveler

RTO maximum is 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment

If one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work all of them with no holiday RTO
-
If three major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work two, with one holiday RTO request eligible for review
-
Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day

No alternate shifts or special scheduling requests will be accommodated — the listed shift is firm

Full compliance with onboarding requirements must be completed on time; late compliance may result in a start date delay

Two supervisory references (manager level or above) are highly preferred for consideration; charge nurse references are not accepted
