Permanent Salary: $65,000-$75,000

Our client is seeking a Financial Analyst / Accountant to join their growing finance team. This is an excellent contract-to-hire opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and partnering with operational leaders. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting foundation, excellent Excel skills, and experience applying GAAP principles in a fast-paced environment.
- Perform month-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Prepare funding source billings and periodic financial reports.
- Analyze financial results, budgets, and variances.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and accounts receivable activity.
- Monitor grants and funding sources while preparing financial projections.
- Partner with program managers and leadership to review financial performance and budgets.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting or financial analysis experience.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Experience with month-end close, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, billing, and variance analysis.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
