IN-HOME CAREGIVER – DAY SHIFT
Home Matters Caregiving is hiring compassionate, dependable, and experienced caregivers for morning and daytime shifts throughout Redondo Beach and the surrounding South Bay communities.
Current daytime availability is strongly preferred, including shifts between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM. Immediate opportunities may include extended day shifts such as 9:00 AM–7:00 PM, as well as shorter morning and afternoon assignments.
Our service area includes Redondo Beach, Torrance, Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach, Palos Verdes, and nearby communities.

Our daytime caregivers help older adults begin their day safely, maintain their daily routines, attend appointments, prepare meals, and remain comfortable and independent at home.
We believe caregivers are the heart of home care. That is why we provide paid training, ongoing support, thoughtful caregiver-client matching, and opportunities for professional growth.
Caregiver Responsibilities
As an In-Home Caregiver, Home Care Aide, or Personal Care Assistant, your responsibilities may include:
- Assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene
- Helping clients get out of bed and prepare for the day
- Providing mobility assistance, transfer support, and fall-prevention supervision
- Preparing breakfast, lunch, snacks, and other meals
- Assisting with feeding when needed
- Providing medication reminders
- Performing light housekeeping, laundry, and household organization
- Offering companionship, conversation, and social engagement
- Escorting clients to appointments, errands, and community activities when assigned
- Monitoring the client’s home for safety concerns
- Documenting completed care tasks and changes in the client’s condition
- Communicating professionally with clients, families, and the office
- Following client care plans and agency policies
- Building meaningful and trusting relationships with clients and their families
CAREGIVER QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be at least 21 years of age; certain exceptions may apply
- At least one year of professional or personal caregiving experience
- Availability for morning, afternoon, or extended daytime shifts
- California Home Care Aide registration preferred, or willingness to register before beginning work
- Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred, or willingness to obtain certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Bilingual English and Spanish caregivers are strongly encouraged to apply
- Valid California driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
- Ability to safely lift, assist, or reposition up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, crouch, and provide hands-on care throughout a shift
- Ability to safely drive clients or travel between client locations when assigned
- Dependable, punctual, compassionate, and professional

COMPENSATION AND CAREGIVER BENEFITS
- Competitive pay of $18.00–$21.00 per hour, based on experience, availability, and client care needs
