Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Food & Beverage Manager to join our team. In this role, you will assist in overseeing the daily operations of our food and beverage department, ensuring exceptional service and quality standards are met. You will play a crucial role in managing staff, inventory, and customer satisfaction while contributing to the overall success of our establishment.
Responsibilities
Job Tasks/Duties
- Design floor plans according to reservations, with a focus on member comfort and service.
- Plan dining room set-up based on anticipated guest counts and client needs.
- Take reservations, check table reservation schedules, and maintain reservation logs.
- Warmly greet and seat members and guests.
- Ensure dining room staff present themselves in clean, proper uniforms at all times.
- Hire, train, supervise, schedule, and evaluate dining room staff with a focus on member satisfaction.
- Address and resolve any complaints regarding dining room service in a timely manner.
- Foster a strong working relationship between the dining room and kitchen staff.
- Ensure completion of all side-work, equipment cleaning, and storage area maintenance. • Conduct pre-meal meetings with dining room personnel, relaying essential information for optimal service.
- Ensure the appearance, cleanliness, and safety of dining room areas, equipment, and fixtures are up to standard.
- Suggest improvements in dining room service procedures and layout to enhance the member experience.
- Train staff on all aspects of the POS system.
- Ensure the dining room and other club areas are secure at the end of the business day.
- Develop and maintain an efficient dining room reservation system.
- Monitor dining room labor and supplies budget, making adjustments to meet financial goals.
- Utilize computer systems to accurately charge members, create reports, and draft correspondence.
- Develop, update, and refine policy and procedure manuals for service staff to improve quality and control costs.
- Attend scheduled staff meetings.
- May serve as the club's opening and closing manager or manager on duty.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to update, review, and print weekly menu changes.
- Assist in developing wine lists and beverage promotions, tracking wine sales.
- Perform additional assignments and projects as required by the Clubhouse Manager
Qualifications·
Must have 3-5 years of related experience in F&B management
· Must have food and beverage/ a la carte and banquet experience
· Strong business aptitude
· Strong service orientation
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Highly organized, efficient, and detail-oriented
· Must be friendly, outgoing and possess exceptional interpersonal skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
