Located on a 176-acre campus in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, Whiskey House is the first facility designed from the ground up for large-scale, flexible, custom whiskey production.

Reports/Relationships:
The Maintenance & Reliability Technician reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Position Overview:
The Maintenance & Reliability Technician ensures the safe, reliable operation of Whiskey House’s processing capabilities and delivers exceptional service quality by installing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing processing, utility, safety, and emergency equipment. This role requires accurately executing scheduled preventive maintenance tasks, responding swiftly to emergency breakdowns, and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical (up to 480 V), instrumentation/PLC controls, and pump-and-piping systems. A strong mechanical aptitude in conveying and filling operations, combined with above-average electrical and control-system expertise, is essential. In every aspect of their work, the technician must adhere strictly to all personal, workplace, food-safety, quality, and environmental policies.
Job Responsibilities:
Specific duties include, but are not limited to the following:

Understanding of and compliance with all site safety policies related to the position: OSHA, NFPA, mechanical, electrical, and food safety, etc.

Maintenance of a safe, organized, and sanitary work area aligned with the site’s ISO & GMP standards.

Professional level work quality in completing assigned planned maintenance, preventive maintenance, and repair work orders.

Full engagement in the use, maintenance, and improvement of the site CMMS system. To include work order writing and editing, logging hours, writing follow-up work orders and maintenance of plant parts and supply inventories.

Utilization of root cause analysis to accurately and efficiently diagnose and repair plant equipment and systems.

Completing detailed and accurate records of all maintenance work performed within the plant CMMS system.

Recording all parts or supply usage within the CMMS system and ensuring usages are accurately assigned to the correct work order and equipment.

Active engagement in continuous improvement activities, the development of maintenance systems and process, and capital improvement projects.
Required
Education:
-
Associate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Maintenance - or a related technical field - equivalent combination of education and strong track record of relevant hands-on experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Maintenance Journeyman's Card or equivalent certification
Experience & Skills:
-
4+ years of manufacturing/industrial maintenance experience with demonstratable knowledge in mechanical and electrical system maintenance and at least basic PLC troubleshooting experience.

The knowledge of preventative/predictive maintenance techniques.

Understanding of maintenance procedures, written and oral directions, and the ability to read blueprints, construction plans, drawings, and assembly instructions.

Preferred experience with MIG and TIG Welding.

Self-motivated and capable of working alone.

Good interpersonal skills and able to work well in a team environment.

Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.

Be able to stand for long periods of time

Must be physically capable of standing, climbing, lifting, and working in small areas as needed.
Work Environment:

This role will primarily perform tasks in a non-climate-controlled environment and outdoors.
Preferred
Experience & Skills:

Experience in other areas of the bourbon whiskey industry such as bottling, distillery, processing, distribution, etc.
