INDUSTRIAL ELECTRICIAN – APPRENTICE LEVEL 3-4 (6,000+ HOURS)
ABOUT THIS ROLE
This posting is open to an apprentice who's been putting in real industrial hours and is ready for more responsibility, ready to grow into a Journeyman. Industrial experience is strongly preferred for this role. While residential and commercial electrical experience can provide a foundation, it does not fully translate to the demands of this position. We are seeking electricians with proven industrial experience-specifically in troubleshooting, large conduit and wire pulls, motor controls, 480V systems, transformers and working within industrial environments who can contribute effectively from day one.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
-
Directing and managing electrical work on industrial job sites
-
Training and mentoring newer team members and apprentices
-
Inspecting installations to ensure quality and code compliance
-
Upholding and enforcing job site safety standards (PPE, OSHA, NEC)

Troubleshooting electrical issues from start to finish, often without complete schematics or full operator information

Reading and interpreting blueprints, rough sketches, plans, and specifications

Wiring 120V, 480V, and low voltage systems

Working with lighting, transformers, motor controls, and switchboards

Measuring, threading, bending, and running EMT and rigid conduit (½" – 4")

Sizing feeders and managing tooling requirements per job

Communicating clearly with customers, the service manager, and the team

Organizing and planning projects of varying scale

Attending job site meetings and contributing to project coordination
WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING
-
Level 3 or Level 4 Apprentice with a registered MI apprenticeship card

1-year hands-on industrial electrical experience (verifiable, not just listed as a skill)

Ability to troubleshoot from start to finish without relying on schematics or complete customer information

Proficient with 120V, 480V, and low voltage systems

Working knowledge of motor controls, transformers, lighting, and switchboards

Experience with feeder sizing requirements

Ability to measure, thread, bend, and run EMT and rigid conduit up to 4"

Strong working knowledge of NEC code

Ability to interpret blueprints, plans, drawings, and rough sketches

Comfortable working with minimal supervision

Capable of training less experienced electricians

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and ERP systems

Willing and able to travel to job sites

Ability to lift 50 lbs.
