The Transportation County Supply Specialist will report to the Harrison County Headquarters. This position performs full-performance level duties in ordering, receiving, recording, storing, and shipping materials and equipment at a district, regional, or state stockroom or warehouse. Expectations are clearly defined, and work is reviewed often. Steps, processes, and methods are related to the job duties. Performs related duties as required.

REQUIRED TRAINING/EDUCATION

High school diploma or the equivalent.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

Four (4) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in a clerical capacity in connection with storeroom or warehouse operations, such as a stock clerk, inventory work, or handling materials; and/or experience in business operations such as bookkeeping, accounting, timekeeping, and purchasing.

Substitution: Successful completion of coursework from a regionally accredited college or university, related business school, or vocational training may be substituted for four (4) years of the required experience through an established formula.
Promotional Only: Four (4) years as an hourly transportation worker with the Division of Highways.
