Responsibilities
- Safely handle and transport food orders from the kitchen to guest tables, adhering to proper food handling and safety standards.
- Assist with cleaning and bussing tables to maintain a clean and inviting dining area.
- Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation and manual handling tasks as needed.
- Ensure all food is delivered promptly, accurately, and presented attractively to enhance guest experience.
- Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and guests using clear, friendly in-person interactions.
- Manage heavy lifting safely when transporting large trays or multiple dishes, following safe lifting practices.
- Support restaurant operations by maintaining cleanliness in service areas and assisting with food running during busy periods.
Qualifications
- Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a positive attitude are essential!
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently, including moving trays or boxes of supplies.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate smoothly with team members and serve guests effectively.
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, including bussing, cleaning, and basic food prep tasks.
- A genuine passion for hospitality, guest service, and creating memorable dining experiences.
