Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes with precision, ensuring consistency and quality in every plate
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting innovative recipes and seasonal offerings that align with dietary needs and customer preferences
- Maintain strict food safety and sanitation standards throughout all stages of food handling and preparation
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate meal service, catering events, and special functions
- Handle food with care using proper knife skills, cooking techniques, and food industry best practices
- Ensure timely food production for restaurant service, dietary departments, or catering events
- Support inventory management by monitoring supplies, rotating stock, and minimizing waste
Qualifications
- Proven experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is highly desirable
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food service within a restaurant or fine dining setting
- Knowledge of menu planning, meal preparation, and catering operations
- Demonstrated proficiency in food handling safety procedures and kitchen equipment operation
- Excellent knife skills and ability to execute diverse culinary techniques
- Prior experience working in the food industry with a focus on quality and presentation
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and sanitation standards
