As a Clinical Audiologist, you will help perform diagnostic audiological test procedures to evaluate patient's hearing status, auditory pathway function and communicative function and maintains records for all services.
A caregiver in this position works days, from 8:00am to 5:00pm.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
- Interpret and report test results to facilitate medical diagnosis to provide counseling and education about hearing loss, hearing aids and communication to patients and their families.
- Perform electroacoustic analysis of hearing aids.
- Perform hearing aid checks and minor repairs of hearing aids.
- Provide direct and indirect supervision of student externs, clinical fellows, fourth-year Au.D students and otolaryngology residents, as requested.
- Assist with planning, budget, service or project development, fee setting, purchase of new equipment or materials.
- Perform daily and monthly equipment checks and biological calibrations.
- Assist with electroacoustic calibration of equipment, as needed.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Doctorate in Audiology (AuD)
- Eligible for an Ohio Speech and Hearing Professionals Board license to practice audiology
- Hold Ohio Speech and Hearing Professionals Board license to practice audiology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence Audiology (CCC-A) by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) within new hire period and maintain CCCs throughout employment
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Experience working in a fast-paced ENT practice
- Experience working with the pediatric patient population
