Sunbelt Staffing is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Specialist Assistant for a travel assignment in Watertown, NY (100-mile radius rule applies).
Schedule:
Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
What You’ll Do:
Provide advanced procedural and clinical support in Interventional Radiology under physician supervision, including:

Patient assessments across all age groups
- Assistance with IR and fluoroscopic procedures
- Fluoro studies (barium swallow, upper GI, small bowel follow-through, enemas)
- Image-guided procedures including joint injections, biopsies, and drain placements
- Paracentesis and thoracentesis procedures
- Bone marrow and ultrasound/CT-guided biopsies
- Breast biopsies with stereotactic and ultrasound guidance
- Marker clip placement
- Procedure room setup, sterile technique, and equipment management
- Patient education, informed consent, and post-procedure care
- Documentation of findings, outcomes, and procedural notes
Key Responsibilities:

Maintain patient flow and clinical efficiency
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and techs
- Ensure radiation safety and infection control compliance
- Respond to emergent situations as needed
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and regulatory standards
Requirements:

Graduate of approved Radiologic Technology program (Bachelor’s required or related field)
- ARRT (R) required
- Additional certifications (CT, US, IR, or RRA) strongly preferred
- BLS required
- ACLS preferred
- RA or PA with radiology focus preferred
- Strong IR or interventional experience required
