Job Overview
The Vending Machine Route Service Technician is responsible for servicing assigned vending machines by restocking products, maintaining cleanliness, inspecting equipment, and documenting each service visit. This role ensures vending machines are fully operational, properly merchandised, and stocked with fresh products while following Casa Roma LLC policies and procedures.
The technician travels along an assigned route using a personal vehicle, accurately manages inventory, reports machine issues and product discrepancies, and submits required photos and documentation. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, reliability, excellent time management, and a commitment to providing professional customer service while representing Casa Roma LLC.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections of vending machines to ensure proper functioning and cleanliness
- Prepare for daily routes by reviewing assignments, verifying inventory, loading products, and ensuring all required tools and keys are available.
- Service assigned vending machines by accurately counting inventory, restocking products, and recording inventory usage in the system.
- Rotate products using the First In, First Out (FIFO) method and remove expired, damaged, or opened items.
- Restock machines according to approved planograms to maintain product presentation and availability.
- Clean vending machines, including the glass, interior, exterior, keypad, trays, and coils, and keep the surrounding area clean.
- Inspect machine components, including payment readers, screens, lights, temperature, buttons, coils, doors, and locks, to ensure proper operation.
- Report equipment malfunctions, inventory discrepancies, low coin levels, and other issues promptly to the Coordinator.
- Take required before-and-after photos of each machine and document incidents such as damaged products, equipment issues, or low coin levels.
- Submit all required photo documentation and reports on the same day service is completed.
- Scan and record returned, damaged, opened, expired, or leftover inventory when returning to the warehouse.
- Operate a personal vehicle safely, comply with mileage reimbursement procedures, and submit required documentation.
- Provide professional and courteous customer service while representing Casa Roma LLC.
- Report customer feedback or concerns to the Coordinator and refrain from making business agreements on behalf of the company.
- Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and confidentiality requirements.
- Wear the required company uniform and maintain a professional appearance.
- Protect company assets and perform all duties with honesty, integrity, and accountability.
Experience
- Previous experience in vending machine servicing, route sales, merchandising, inventory management, or delivery operations.
- Experience using handheld devices or inventory management systems.
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills for vending equipment.
- Experience working in customer-facing roles.
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) is a plus.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Reliable personal vehicle with proof of insurance.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform frequent bending, reaching, and standing.
- Basic smartphone and mobile application skills for inventory management and photo documentation.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and follow established routes and procedures.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
