Wisconsin Precision Casting is an investment casting foundry dedicated to supplying the businesses we serve with highly engineered mechanical components with quality service and products. Duties & Responsibilities
· Maintain Zeiss Coordinate Measurement Machine, utilizing Calypso software.
· Maintain gage calibration system.
· Provide and maintain training of all Quality Technicians on Coordinate Measurement Machine and Micro-Vue Vision System software, hardware and fixturing to be accurate and as proficient as possible.
· Develop layout and inspection plans routines and programs, utilizing best measurement systems and techniques.
· Perform First Article Inspections (FAI’s) as required.
Qualifications
· Minimum of two years’ experience in programming of a Zeiss CMM in a moderate volume environment desired.
· Strong Knowledge of GD&T interpretation of specifications and ability to interpret 2D drawings.
· General Knowledge and understanding of ISO 9001 systems as it pertains to this position.
· Proficiency in the use of Micro-Vue vision systems; including programming and performing dimensional layouts.
· Casting experience desired.
Skills & Abilities
· Must be a hands-on contributor with strong written and oral communication skills.
· Skilled in the use of computer software including Outlook , Word and Excel and Adobe PDF.
· Proficiency in use of calipers, micrometers, depth gages, drop gages, dial indicators and various measuring devices.
· Skilled in working independently and following through with assignments with minimal direction.
Education
Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED; technical certificate preferred supplemented by a minimum of 2 years’ experience operating CMM machines or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience.
