Valid driver’s license; physical ability to perform routine inside and outside maintenance; ability to communicate effectively in English; ability to relate to and treat people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socio-economic groups with respect; ability to be on duty Sundays 7:30am – 12:30pm; ability to work flexible hours (minimal evenings).
Basic Responsibilities: Work with the Office Manager and parish Building Grounds Committee to oversee the maintenance of church complex; provide a security presence for parishioners during scheduled events, i.e. Mass on Sunday morning. Understand and follow security, opening and closing protocols; perform light maintenance and janitorial duties. Maintain outside grounds (sidewalks-including snow removal, trash, etc.). Assess property damage and problem areas needing attention; set up church social hall for scheduled events; be on call for building emergencies; and accomplish janitorial duties as assigned.
Maintenance/Custodial position P/T is an immediate opening, work required every Sunday morning during St. Mary Mother of God Church 10:45am Mass and has flex hours (20-28 hours per week). Hourly rate to be determined on experience.
