Responsibilities
As a Senior Project Manager/Estimator, you'll manage structural and miscellaneous steel projects from estimating through closeout while serving as the primary point of contact for owners, architects, engineers, and general contractors.
Responsibilities include:
- Prepare detailed estimates, proposals, and bid packages from drawings, specifications, RFQs, and site visits.
- Manage commercial and industrial projects from award through completion while meeting schedule, budget, and quality goals.
- Coordinate with customers, detailers, fabrication, purchasing, and field crews to ensure successful project execution.
- Review drawings, contracts, and specifications for accuracy and completeness.
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, schedules, and project documentation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and general contractors.
- Provide leadership and support to project teams while helping improve processes and overall project performance.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- 10+ years of experience in structural and miscellaneous steel estimating and project management preferred.
- Strong knowledge of steel fabrication and erection practices.
- Experience managing multiple commercial and industrial construction projects.
- Working knowledge of AISC standards and AWS D1.1/D1.5.
- Ability to read and interpret structural and shop drawings.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- A professional, straightforward approach to working with customers, vendors, and coworkers.
