Job Summary
-
The Spray Applicator measures, mixes, and applies various pesticides and fertilizers to assigned areas.
Duties and Responsibilities:
-
Operate spray equipment
-
Measure mixing agents to create necessary sprays for application
-
Apply various pesticides and fertilizers to maintain areas
Education and Experience:
-
Experience with chemical or spray applications
-
Must work under the direction and supervision of the Assistant Golf Course Superintendent and Agronomic Technician
-
Maintain a valid Driver’s License
-
Strong attention to detail
-
Operate efficiently and safely at all times
-
Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
-
Ability to perform other cultural applications on a golf course as needed - assist with aerifications, applying seed to designated areas, sand topdressing applications
Physical Demands/Requirements:
-
Heavy lifting up to 50 pounds
-
Regular exposure to outside environment including rain, cold, sun, or night
-
Repetitive movement- standing, walking, twisting, turning, bending, squatting, and stooping
Work Environment:
-
Work in/or about situations near direct automotive traffic
-
Work near or about natural bodies of water
-
Ability to work in extreme conditions – temperatures may exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit
-
Ability to work in direct sunlight for extended periods
