Summary: As a Cultivation Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting the successful cultivation of cannabis within our facility. Reporting directly to both the Senior Cultivator and Cultivation Project Lead, you will work collaboratively with the cultivation team to execute various tasks and projects. This position requires a strong understanding of cannabis cultivation techniques, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions accurately. The Cultivation Technician is expected to demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude while maintaining compliance with all regulations and standard operating procedures.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Plant Care:
- Assist in the care of cannabis plants during different growth stages, including watering, pruning, defoliation, and transplanting.
- Follow cultivation protocols to ensure optimal plant health and growth.
- Harvesting Support:
- Collaborate with the cultivation team during the harvest process, including trimming, defoliation, and processing plants.
- Integrated Pest Management (IPM):
- Apply preventative sprays as needed to maintain healthy and pest free plants
- Irrigation and Equipment Maintenance:
- Support the application of fertilizers and nutrients according to the production schedule and process SOP’s
- Ensure equipment is maintained and functioning properly
- Ballast Replacement
- Bulb Replacement
- Fan Replacement
- Table Repair/Maintenance
- DeHu/H2O Filter Replacement
- Environmental Monitoring:
- Monitor and maintain environmental conditions, such as temperature, humidity, and lighting when performing projects to ensure optimal plant growth.
- Project Support:
- Assist the Senior Cultivator and Cultivation Project Lead in all cultivation projects
- Compliance Adherence:
- Adhere to all legal regulations and company policies related to cannabis cultivation.
- Cleaning and Sanitation:
- Participate in regular cleaning and sanitation tasks to maintain a clean and safe cultivation environment.
- Perform room cleans and sanitation post-harvest to ensure the facility maintains GMP
- Defoliation and Plant Movement:
- Carry out defoliation activities to remove unnecessary leaves and improve plant canopy health.
- Assist in moving plants within the cultivation facility to optimize space and plant arrangement.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work collaboratively with the cultivation team and effectively communicate any concerns or issues.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in cultivating commercial cannabis.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Private Applicator License for pesticide application.
- Must have a valid Colorado MED Badge.
Working Conditions:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform grasping, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.
- May be required to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift, carry, and balance up to 75 pounds (200 pounds with assistance).
