Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Finance Solution Architect to lead the transformation of ECC Finance to SAP S/4HANA Finance. The resource will define the future-state finance operating model and own end-to-end Finance solution architecture across core accounting, controlling, revenue, planning, treasury, financial close, consolidation, reporting, and related finance functions.
The architect will establish and govern the S/4HANA Finance data model, including the Universal Journal (ACDOCA), organizational structures, chart of accounts, profit centers, cost centers, and financial master data standards. The role will also lead finance data migration, reconciliation, validation, cutover, and integration activities while serving as a strategic advisor to Finance leadership and senior business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the overall Finance transformation strategy and define the future-state Finance operating model.
- Own end-to-end SAP S/4HANA Finance solution architecture.
- Design and govern solutions across General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting, Product Costing, Profitability Analysis (COPA), Revenue Recognition, and Financial Planning.
- Design and govern the S/4HANA Finance data model, including Universal Journal (ACDOCA).
- Define organizational structures, chart of accounts, profit centers, cost centers, and financial master data standards.
- Lead financial close, consolidation, and Group Reporting architecture.
- Design Treasury, Cash Management, and Working Capital processes.
- Establish finance controls, compliance, and governance frameworks.
- Ensure alignment with accounting standards, audit requirements, tax requirements, SOX controls, and segregation of duties.
- Define the Finance analytics and reporting strategy using embedded analytics and enterprise reporting capabilities.
- Lead Finance data migration, reconciliation, validation, and cutover activities.
- Ensure seamless integration between Finance and other business functions.
- Evaluate existing ECC Finance processes and define scalable future-state SAP S/4HANA solutions.
- Provide architectural governance and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
- Review solution designs and ensure consistency across Finance workstreams.
- Identify process, data, integration, and architecture gaps and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Support business readiness, process adoption, organizational change, and transformation initiatives.
- Collaborate with Finance leadership, business stakeholders, technical teams, and implementation teams.
- Serve as a strategic technology and transformation advisor to senior Finance leadership.
- Support implementation decisions, architecture reviews, and solution governance.
- Provide knowledge transfer and functional guidance to project teams.
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of SAP S/4HANA Finance experience.
- 10–15+ years of expertise across SAP FI, CO, Asset Accounting, COPA, and Group Reporting.
- Strong experience working as a SAP Finance Solution Architect.
- Extensive experience designing end-to-end SAP S/4HANA Finance solutions.
- Strong experience with Universal Journal (ACDOCA).
- Strong understanding of Finance organizational structures, chart of accounts, profit centers, cost centers, and financial master data.
- Experience leading financial close, consolidation, and Group Reporting architecture.
- Experience with Treasury, Cash Management, and Working Capital processes.
- Strong experience with Finance data migration, reconciliation, validation, and cutover.
- Strong understanding of Finance integration with other SAP and enterprise business functions.
- Experience defining future-state Finance operating models.
- Strong business stakeholder engagement and executive communication skills.
- Experience with Finance controls, compliance, audit, SOX, tax, and segregation of duties.
- Knowledge of SAP Signavio is required.
- Knowledge of SAP Cloud ALM is required.
- Strong architectural governance and solution design experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- SAP S/4HANA Finance certification.
- Previous experience in a Solution Architect role.
- Experience leading large-scale ECC-to-S/4HANA Finance transformation programs.
- Experience with embedded Finance analytics and enterprise reporting.
- Experience supporting Finance business readiness and organizational transformation.

Position Requirements:
- Hybrid onsite position.
- Local candidates to Dublin, OH are required.
- Candidates may relocate but must be onsite by Day 1.
- Onsite schedule is Monday through Thursday every week.
- Long-term travel is not considered sustainable for this role.
- 7+ years of SAP S/4HANA Finance experience is mandatory.
- 10–15+ years of FI, CO, Asset Accounting, COPA, and Group Reporting expertise is required.
- Strong business stakeholder engagement capabilities are required.
- SAP Signavio and SAP Cloud ALM knowledge are required.
- Candidates must meet the required technical and functional experience before submission.
