We are looking for a experienced account manager to own the strategy and client-facing side of our renewals. Our processing team handles the backend. You set the plan for each account, direct the work, present the renewal, and keep claims moving.
About 3S Insurance Services
We are a boutique commercial insurance brokerage in San Diego serving mid-sized businesses throughout California. Intentionally small, relationship-driven, and built on three principles: strategy, designing programs around how our clients actually operate; safeguarding, advocating hard on claims; and service, responsive and accountable follow-through.
You will work directly with ownership and carry real responsibility from the start.
What You'll Do
Set the renewal strategy. Decide what we market and how we position each account. Identify how the client's operations, exposures, and goals have changed. Surface coverage gaps and program design opportunities before the renewal is in motion.
Direct the work rather than perform it. Give the processor clear instructions and deadlines. Oversee submissions, exposure gathering, and carrier follow-up. Review what comes back for accuracy and for whether it reflects your strategy. Hold the timeline so nothing quietly stalls.
Present to the client. Build the recommendation: what changed, why, what the options are, what we advise. Deliver it and answer coverage questions with real substance. Hand off to the processor to close and collect signatures.
Oversee claims. Make sure the processor is working adjusters, updates are timely, and clients know where things stand. Step in personally when a file stalls or a carrier decision needs challenging. Turn loss experience into risk management recommendations so the same claims stop repeating.
What You Won't Do
Certificates, endorsements, data entry, carrier status calls, document collection, routine claim follow-up. That is the processor's work. Yours is deciding what needs to happen, confirming it happened right, and owning the client relationship.
