Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service to foster a positive shopping experience
- Assist customers with product questions, demonstrations, and upselling opportunities to maximize sales
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for retail sales transactions and cash register operations
- Handle cash handling duties including cash drawer management and basic math calculations for transactions
- Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure proper merchandising to maintain an attractive store presentation
- Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits of various items
- Maintain phone etiquette when answering inquiries or providing assistance over the phone
- Support inventory management by stocking new products and managing stock levels efficiently
- Supervise or assist in supervising team members during shifts to ensure smooth store operations
- Uphold store policies and procedures related to retail math, cash handling, and customer service standards
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery or specialty stores
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering, and retail math calculations is highly advantageous
- Bilingual skills are a plus to better serve diverse customer needs
- Demonstrated strong communication skills and excellent phone etiquette
- Experience in supervising or leading team members is desirable but not required
- Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising techniques, and stock management practices
- Prior experience with grocery store operations or similar environments is beneficial
