- Serve as a trusted resource for employees regarding benefits, personnel policies, HR procedures, and employment-related questions.
- Administer employee benefits, including enrollments, qualifying life events, COBRA, annual open enrollment, and benefit invoice reconciliation.
- Coordinate employee leave programs, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, Workers' Compensation, and other protected leaves.
- Maintain accurate and confidential personnel records, HRIS data, and employee documentation.
- Monitor employment-law developments and support compliance activities, including EEO, Affirmative Action, HR audits, and government reporting.
- Support compensation administration, workforce reporting, salary data, and census information.
- Coach and support managers with performance evaluations, employee coaching, performance improvement, disciplinary matters, and terminations.
- Help maintain and improve the Firm's Personnel Policy Manual, organizational chart, HR procedures, and related documentation.
- Coordinate employee engagement, recognition, wellness, social events, and other initiatives that strengthen our culture.
- Prepare HR metrics and workforce reports to support organizational decision-making.
- Work with HR vendors and benefit providers to support employees and HR operations.
- Identify opportunities to use technology, automation, and process improvements to make HR more effective and the employee experience better.
- Take ownership of special projects and strategic initiatives in partnership with the Director of Human Resources and Strategic Marketing and Senior Leadership.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least five years of related Human Resources experience and training.
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred.
- Broad working knowledge of HR practices, employee benefits, leave administration, employee relations, and employment compliance.
- Strong judgment and the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
- Ability to build collaborative relationships across teams and work through challenges with a practical, solutions-oriented approach.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with close attention to detail.
