Job Summary:
Avitia Construction is hiring a reliable and motivated Handyman to join our growing team. This role involves general construction, repair, and roofing tasks. We’re looking for individuals who take pride in their work, show up on time, and are eager to learn. Whether you're experienced or just getting started, we offer on-the-job training to help you succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with a variety of home improvement and repair projects
- Support roofing crews with tear-offs, installations, and clean-up
- Perform basic carpentry, drywall patching, painting, and minor repairs
- Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently
- Travel to job sites in nearby towns as needed
- Keep work areas clean and organized
- Follow safety protocols and company standards
Requirements:
- General knowledge of tools and home repair tasks (we’re willing to train)
- Comfortable with physical labor and working outdoors
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and climb ladders safely
- Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn new skills
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites
- Must be able to get in SAFB (Sheppard Air Force Base)
Preferred (but not required):
- Experience in roofing, framing, drywall, or painting
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
