Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Logistics Specialist to join our supply chain operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the movement, storage, and distribution of materials and products across various channels. Your expertise will ensure seamless coordination between procurement, warehousing, transportation, and customer fulfillment, driving efficiency and cost-effectiveness throughout the supply chain. Duties
- Oversee warehouse distribution activities, ensuring accurate inventory management and stock control using warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP platforms such as SAP or Oracle.
- Coordinate transportation planning and freight management, including shipping & receiving, NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) operations, and 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) providers to optimize delivery schedules and reduce costs.
- Conduct data collection and analysis using tools like SQL, Excel data analysis, Tableau, and supply chain analytics to identify process improvements and root cause issues.
- Manage procurement processes including sourcing vendors, negotiating pricing, and category management to secure the best terms for materials handling and supply chain needs.
- Monitor inventory levels through demand planning, inventory control, and inventory management systems to ensure optimal stock levels while minimizing excess or shortages.
- Facilitate cross-functional communication among procurement, warehouse operations, transportation teams, and customer service to ensure smooth order fulfillment and compliance with international trade regulations.
- Support process improvement initiatives by analyzing logistics workflows, implementing best practices in transportation management systems (TMS), ERP systems like AS400 or similar platforms, and warehouse management system enhancements.
Experience
- Proven experience practicing in a supply chain operations role with a strong understanding of logistics management principles.
- Hands-on experience with warehouse operations including stocking, materials handling, shipping & receiving, inventory management systems, and manual handling procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to utilize data analysis skills with Excel spreadsheets, SQL queries, Tableau dashboards or similar tools for supply chain analytics.
- Familiarity with transportation planning software such as TMS platforms or equivalent systems used for freight routing and scheduling.
- Vendor management experience including sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring trade compliance with international trade regulations.
- Knowledge of warehouse management system (WMS), ERP platforms like SAP or Oracle, AS400 or similar enterprise systems is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis to resolve supply chain disruptions efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across departments and external partners such as 3PL providers or customs brokers.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely (certification preferred) and perform manual handling tasks as needed within warehouse environments.

Pay: $26.15 - $31.49 per hour
