For over 11 years, San Diego Boba has proudly served the community with handcrafted boba drinks, teas, desserts, and exceptional customer service. As a locally owned small business, we've built our reputation on quality, consistency, and creating a welcoming experience for every guest.
We're looking for dependable, energetic team members who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and take pride in staying productive. This is an active, hands-on position where every team member plays an important role in creating an outstanding customer experience.

General Responsibilities
Customer Experience
- Provide outstanding customer service with a friendly, welcoming attitude.
- Greet every customer promptly and create a positive experience from start to finish.
- Educate customers about our menu, answer questions, and make recommendations.
- Handle special requests professionally while ensuring order accuracy.
Drink & Food Preparation
- Prepare a variety of boba drinks, teas, smoothies, coffees, and specialty beverages by following recipes and quality standards.
- Prepare light snacks and desserts while maintaining presentation and consistency.
- Ensure every drink and food item meets our quality expectations before serving.
Cash Register Operations
- Accurately process customer orders and payments.
- Maintain an organized register area and assist customers with any questions regarding their order.
Shop Cleanliness & Organization
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming shop throughout your shift.
- Complete daily cleaning tasks including wiping surfaces, washing dishes, sweeping, mopping, stocking, and maintaining equipment.
- Keep workstations fully stocked and notify management of inventory shortages.
Teamwork & Flexibility
- Work together with teammates to keep operations running smoothly.
- Assist wherever needed throughout the shift, including restocking, ingredient prep, cleaning, and supporting other stations.
- Communicate effectively and contribute to a positive team environment.
Speed & Efficiency
- Work quickly and efficiently during busy rushes while maintaining excellent product quality and customer service.
- Stay productive throughout your shift. When customer traffic slows down, our team focuses on cleaning, stocking, prepping ingredients, and keeping the shop ready for the next rush.

Qualifications
Experience
Previous experience in food service, hospitality, coffee shops, retail, or customer service is preferred, but not required. We're happy to train motivated individuals with a great attitude.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours with breaks).
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable reaching, bending, stooping, and performing repetitive hand motions such as shaking drinks and scooping toppings.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Professionalism
Maintain a clean, professional appearance along with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Availability
Must have flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
