We are Texas’s premier locally owned and operated security, automation, and smart technology company, headquartered in San Antonio with satellite offices in Austin and Houston. We deliver world-class commercial security solutions—including 24/7 monitored alarms, AI-powered video surveillance, access control, commercial audio/video systems, networking, and integrated automation—to businesses across every industry (restaurants, retail, warehouses, apartments, offices, schools, churches, gas stations, and more).
No long-term contracts. No cloud fees on local recording. Just honest, high-rated local service that Texans trust (4.9/5 stars from thousands of reviews). We’re growing fast because we put our people and our customers first.
The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Commercial Project Manager / Operations Specialist to own the entire post-sale process for our commercial division. You will be the critical bridge between the sales team, our in-house field technicians, vendors, and the customer—turning every signed proposal into a flawless, on-time, profitable installation.
If you thrive on organization, love turning chaos into smooth execution, and want to work for a fast-growing local company that actually values its team, this is your role.
What You’ll Do (Day-to-Day)
- End-to-End Project Ownership: Manage every commercial job from the moment the sale closes until final invoicing and customer handover.
- dTools Mastery: Drive all workflows inside our cloud-based dTools CRM—creating projects, generating purchase orders, tracking inventory, updating statuses, and producing professional documentation.
- Equipment & Logistics: Accurately order all equipment and materials, coordinate deliveries, manage stock levels, and resolve any supply-chain issues before they impact the schedule.
- Scheduling & Field Leadership: Build and maintain detailed installation schedules, assign and supervise our salaried field technicians, conduct pre- and post-job briefings, and perform quality-control site visits as needed.
- Operations & Invoicing: Handle change orders, track project profitability, manage all paperwork, coordinate final walkthroughs, and ensure timely and accurate invoicing and close-out.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, accounting, and leadership (including our COO) to continuously improve processes and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
- Problem-Solving & Communication: Keep clients, technicians, and leadership informed with clear, proactive updates—turning potential issues into opportunities to exceed expectations.
What We’re Looking For (The Perfect Candidate)
- 3+ years of project management or operations experience in low-voltage systems, security, AV integration, commercial construction, or similar field (residential smart-home experience is a plus).
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while keeping every detail organized and on schedule.
- Strong familiarity with cloud CRM/project management platforms—dTools experience is a big advantage.
- Excellent organizational, logistical, and time-management skills.
- Comfortable leading and supporting field technicians with a positive, solutions-focused attitude.
- Detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office/Google Workspace; quick learner of new software.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to occasionally visit job sites in the greater San Antonio and Austin areas.
- Bonus: Experience with Alarm.com, access control systems, or commercial security installations.
- Bonus: Spanish Speaking
You’re the type of person who gets energized by checklists, happy technicians, and delighted customers. You hate loose ends and love seeing a project go from proposal to “wow, that was smooth!”
