UCC Weekday School is a part time preschool located in the TCU area that provides a hands on, developmentally appropriate learning environment for children 8 weeks through Kindergarten. We are currently seeking a teacher for our infant classroom. The schedule for this position will either be Monday/Wednesday/Friday 8:30-2:30 for the remainder of the 2026-27 school year.
Teacher Job Description:
During School
- Building relationships with children, parents, co-teacher and staf
- Discipline and guidance in the classroom
- Keep classroom and designated storage areas neat and orderly
- Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all times, both individually and as a group
- Implement daily schedule/lesson plan
- Set up, clean up, greeting, departure, and transition routines
- Follow all Weekday School policies in staff and parent handbooks, as well as Health Department and Licensing standards
Before and After School Hours
- Plan activities with daily schedule and detailed lesson plans for class following High Scope and Learning Without Tears (3s-K only) curriculum (to be posted weekly)
- Complete parent communication on school’s Kaymbu app such as:
· monthly newsletters and calendars
· daily notes
· taking and sharing pictures
· weekly lesson plans
- Attend staff meetings and professional development (minimum of 24 hours, annually, provided by school)
- Assessment of children throughout the year and preparation of COR reports; conduct conferences as needed with parents, including scheduled conference days
- Selection of materials from resource center
- Preparing for special events, such as Meet the Teacher, Open House, etc.
- Complete monthly updates of bulletin boards with pictures, children’s art work, etc. Communicate with director any special needs or challenges of individual children, and plan and consult for any needed modifications or referrals.
