Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Company Over-the-Road (OTR) Driver and take on the exciting challenge of transporting freight across long distances with energy and professionalism! In this role, you’ll operate a 26’ straight box truck. Your expertise in driving and load handling will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Duties
- Safely operate commercial trucks across regional and national routes
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks, ensuring secure handling of diverse cargo
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes traveled, and cargo details in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) standards
- Follow designated routes efficiently while adapting to traffic conditions and delivery schedules
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status, route adjustments, or any issues encountered on the road
- Ensure proper documentation for freight shipments and delivery receipts are completed accurately
Experience
- Proven experience in truck driving, preferably with delivery driver experience involving freight transportation over long distance
- Familiarity with route driving logistics and load & unload procedures in different environments
- Ability to perform basic maintenance checks on trucks to ensure optimal performance
- Valid commercial driver’s license, preferred but not required
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to trucking operations and cargo handling
