Duties
- Conduct patrols of assigned areas to deter criminal activity and ensure public safety.
- Respond promptly to emergency calls, accidents, and incidents requiring law enforcement intervention.
- Investigate criminal activities by gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses and suspects, and documenting findings through detailed report writing.
- Enforce laws and regulations related to traffic control, criminal investigation, immigration law, and loss prevention.
- Utilize surveillance techniques to monitor suspicious activity and support criminal investigations.
- Provide first aid and CPR when necessary to assist injured individuals until medical professionals arrive.
- Manage conflict situations with professionalism and effective conflict management skills to de-escalate tensions.
- Assist in animal handling and care when incidents involve animals or wildlife.
- Collaborate with community members, local agencies, and other stakeholders to promote safety initiatives and build trust within the community.
Requirements
- Proven experience or background in law enforcement, military service, or security roles is highly desirable.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to operate police vehicles safely under various conditions.
- Strong report writing skills with attention to detail for documenting investigations accurately.
- Knowledge of criminal investigation techniques, surveillance methods, and law enforcement procedures.
- Certifications in first aid, CPR, and conflict management are preferred; willingness to obtain necessary certifications upon hire.
- Ability to handle animals appropriately when required for incident management or community engagement.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to work independently or as part of a team under pressure.
