We are searching for a QC & Service Technician to float between our Quality Control (QC) and Service Departments. Starting at $18-22+/hr DOE with training provided. Full-time M-F, 40 hours per week, full benefits package.
Since 1986 Mydax has been committed to building only the highest quality temperature control systems available. We manufacture Chiller systems that utilize our innovative and advanced temperature control technology for the worldwide market.
QC & Service Technicians are responsible for performing quality inspections and supporting service, maintenance, and repair operations on Mydax chiller systems. Conduct detailed checks on electrical, refrigeration, and plumbing components while assisting with hands-on service work and staying on schedule with production and customer needs.
Job Duties Include:
◊ Perform inspections of system sub-assemblies and completed units, including electrical enclosures, refrigeration, and plumbing circuits
◊ Re-check refrigeration circuits with refrigerant leak detectors
◊ Assist with filling, draining, tear-down, prepping, and crating of units for shipment
◊ Perform service, maintenance, and repair tasks including mechanical assembly, brazing, silver soldering, soldering, and electrical work
◊ Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics to guide accurate work
◊ Assist with preventative maintenance, replacement logs, service reports, and related documentation
◊ Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas across QC and service departments
◊ Support inventory of service supplies and assist other departments as needed to meet team goals
While we are proud to offer on-the-job training, we prefer candidates who have:
◊ AA/AS degree in Mechatronics or equivalent experience; soon-to-be graduates will also be considered
◊ Basic knowledge and experience with electrical and mechanical components and reading schematics
◊ Familiarity with hand and power tools; brazing or soldering experience and EPA Section 608 certification a plus
◊ Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and an eye for quality finishes, neat wires, and professional workmanship
◊ Good verbal and written communication skills with a professional attitude and ability to work well with others
