Duties
- Prepare pizza dough, sauces, toppings, and other ingredients following established recipes and standards
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, slicers, and food prep tools safely and efficiently
- Cook pizzas to perfection using techniques like grilling, braising, poaching, and food production methods
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety sanitizing procedures and food handling regulations to ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment
- Assist with menu planning by suggesting new pizza varieties and seasonal specials based on culinary trends and customer preferences
- Support high-volume production by managing multiple orders simultaneously while maintaining quality standards
- Ensure proper knife skills are used during ingredient preparation and that all food production aligns with recipe adherence
Experience
- Previous dietary aide experience or similar roles in food service or dietary departments is highly desirable
- Proven restaurant or food industry experience with a focus on pizza or fine dining environments
- Demonstrated expertise in food preparation techniques such as grilling, braising, poaching, and meal preparation
- Strong knowledge of food safety management practices including sanitizing procedures and proper food handling
- Experience operating kitchen equipment safely in high-volume settings with an emphasis on consistency and quality control
- Familiarity with catering or large-scale food production environments enhances your ability to succeed in this role
- Excellent knife skills along with culinary experience that emphasizes recipe adherence and food presentation
