Job Overview
We are seeking Gatehouse Security Officers to oversee access control and ensure the safety of the Champions Gate area. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment by monitoring entry points, conducting thorough inspections, and responding swiftly to security incidents. Responsibilities
- Manage access to the gatehouse by verifying identification and authorizations for residents, visitors, contractors, and service providers
- Conduct comprehensive background checks and perform security screenings to prevent unauthorized access
- Utilize CCTV surveillance systems to monitor activity around the premises, ensuring safety and loss prevention
- Respond promptly to security incidents or emergencies, coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services as needed
- Perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting when required for equipment or supplies
- Enforce community rules through conflict management techniques while maintaining a professional demeanor
Requirements
- Proven experience in security roles, law enforcement, military service, or related fields with a focus on surveillance and loss prevention
- Knowledge of CCTV systems, manual handling procedures, and conflict management strategies
- Valid certification in CPR highly desirable
- Ability to perform physical tasks, stand on your feet for extended periods of time
- Work in inclement weather conditions (hot, cold, rain, etc.)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to perform detailed background checks and document incidents accurately
- Familiarity with law enforcement protocols and experience in performing thorough security inspections is preferred
- A proactive attitude with excellent judgment skills to handle high-pressure situations confidently

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
