Job OverviewWe are seeking an energetic operational leader and hospitality champion to step into the role of Innkeeper. As the on-property anchor and the face of our Claremont location, you will lead the daily charge across our front-of-house operations and provide high-level oversight to our property support teams. This role is perfect for a proactive manager who loves the independent lodging world, thrives on creating an exceptional guest experience, and excels at keeping the operational wheels turning. You will have a robust support system, working hand-in-hand with our centralized Revenue and Brand management team to keep the inn thriving.
Duties & Responsibilities Team Leadership & Payroll: Provide leadership, mentorship, and operational oversight to our Front Desk, Maintenance, and Housekeeping management teams. Partner with department leads on hiring, onboarding, and training. Schedule, review, and manage employee hours to ensure accurate, timely processing for weekly payroll.
Operational & Financial Reporting: Stay on top of the numbers that keep us moving. Own the delivery of daily and weekly operational metrics, including occupancy updates, labor tracking, night audit reconciliations, and property-level expense reporting.
Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with our Revenue and Brand Manager to implement high-level visual standards, execute exciting seasonal promotions, and align daily front-desk workflows with our unique brand identity. The Guest Experience: Oversee daily property operations (check-ins, check-outs, and reservations). Maintain a warm, welcoming presence and lead by example, resolving guest inquiries with creative problem-solving and grace.
Property & Budget Pride: Monitor property-level expenses, manage room inventory, and ensure our physical spaces look pristine, safe, and welcoming every single day. Requirements Experience: 3+ years of supervisory or management experience in hotel operations, with a proven track record of departmental oversight (Front Desk, Housekeeping, and/or Maintenance). Experience in an independent boutique inn or resort environment is a massive plus.
Technical & Administrative Know-How: Solid familiarity with Property Management Systems (PMS), front-desk operational workflows, and basic hospitality financial practices. Experience managing payroll submittals and generating basic operational/labor reports is highly preferred. Flexibility: Ability to work a schedule rooted in the property's needs, including weekends and holidays. (Bilingual or multilingual skills are a wonderful bonus!)
