Position Summary
The Generalist plays a vital role in supporting members in a recovery-focused Clubhouse environment. This position works alongside members to develop skills, foster independence, and build a strong, inclusive community. The Generalist will assist with daily operations, lead groups, support meal preparation, and provide advocacy and support during times of need.
Key Responsibilities
Member Engagement & Support
- Build supportive relationships with members in a recovery-focused environment
- Encourage participation in daily Clubhouse activities
- Provide advocacy and support for individuals experiencing mental health challenges
- Assist members with goal setting and skill development
Program Facilitation
- Lead and co-facilitate group discussions and skill-building activities
- Assist with educational and vocational programming
- Support community integration and member engagement
Daily Operations
- Assist members with daily meal planning, preparation, and cleanup
- Participate in light cleaning and maintaining shared spaces
- Support administrative and operational tasks as needed
Crisis Support & Communication
- Remain calm and supportive during crisis situations
- Communicate effectively with staff, members, and community partners
- Promote a respectful and inclusive environment for all individuals
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in:
- Social Work
- Mental/Behavioral Health
- Education
- Psychology
- Or related field
- Previous experience working with adults with mental health diagnoses
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a flexible and changing environment
- Experience leading or facilitating group presentations
- Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and members
Preferred
- Experience in Clubhouse model or recovery-focused programs
- Experience in community mental health settings
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles
