Position: Catering Server
Location: Bayberry, 501 Main Street, Islip, NY 11751
Shift Information: Weekend availability is a must!
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance in the serving of guests during catering functions to ensure positive guest experience
- Set up event room as requested by the supervisor to include glassware, service ware, and linen.
- Greet and welcome guests and respond to their requests in a courteous and friendly manner.
- Serve beverages and food in the appropriate order to ensure consistency throughout the event.
- Quickly remove dishes as guests finish each meal at the end of each meal or function.
- Abide by all laws and requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages.
- Replenish beverages when necessary, and check with guests to make sure they are satisfied.
- After the catering event, reset room in accordance with the supervisor’s specifications to ensure the readiness of the room for other functions.
- Perform other related functions that may be assigned.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years Restaurant Experience Required
- Restaurant Experience Only
- Heavy lifting of chairs & tables is a must
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment
Hourly Pay: $17 per hour plus tips
