Job Overview
Anchor Mechanical is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee complex commercial mechanical construction and engineering projects from preconstruction through closeout. In this leadership role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring every project is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
As the primary point of contact for clients, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams, you’ll guide projects every step of the way. If you thrive on accountability, problem-solving, and delivering outstanding results, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all phases of mechanical construction and engineering projects, from pre-construction to closeout.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
- Review project drawings, specifications, contracts, submittals, and change orders.
- Monitor project costs, productivity, and financial performance to ensure profitability.
- Lead project meetings and provide regular updates to clients and company leadership.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, company policies, and applicable building codes.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and resolve technical and operational issues.
- Manage procurement and delivery of equipment and materials to maintain project schedules.
- Oversee project closeout, commissioning, documentation, and warranty support.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing mechanical construction, HVAC, piping, plumbing, or industrial projects.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, construction methods, and applicable building codes.
- Experience with project scheduling, budgeting, and cost management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
- Experience managing large-scale commercial, healthcare, data center, industrial, or mission-critical projects.
- Familiarity with BIM/Revit, Bluebeam, Procore, or similar construction tech platforms.
- Experience with design-build and integrated project delivery methods.
- Advanced knowledge of estimating, procurement, and contract management.
- OSHA 30-Hour certification or equivalent safety training.
- Experience leading teams of project engineers, superintendents, and field personnel.
