POSITION SUMMARY
Coordinates efforts across supervisors, planners, engineers, shifts, departments, and plants to support manufacturing operations.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work closely with production management to maintain schedules and prioritize jobs based on deadlines and resources
- Ensure materials, equipment, and resources are available for each job; communicate with departments to prevent delays
- Monitor production progress and resolve issues or bottlenecks to keep work on track
- Assist with inventory management, including monitoring stock levels and maintaining accurate records
- Maintain production records (job orders, inventory, reports) and share updates with stakeholders
- Identify process improvements and recommend efficiency enhancements
- Perform other duties as assigned
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of related experience, including at least 1 year in manufacturing or inventory
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Leadership ability to support team goals and KPIs
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of production floor operations and inventory control
- Familiarity with production planning and material control systems (preferred)
- Understanding of JIT (Just-In-Time) principles
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Proficient with computers, including keyboard and mouse use
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Split between manufacturing plant and office environment
- Exposure to temperature changes, heat, dust, and noise at times
- Occasional extended work hours required
- Frequent computer use; occasional lifting up to 20 lbs
- Requires focus on data, reports, and deadlines across multiple projects
- Work environment may include frequent interruptions (calls, people, etc.)
