Job Summary
You'll work both our on-site cafe and reservations/campstore on a rotating basis. Many days you'll work a full shift at one department, giving you focus and the chance to develop expertise in both areas. We'll do our best to give you consistent, predictable days (e.g., Your're cafe Mon-Wed, reservations Thurs-Fri), but we may occasionally need flexibility within a day if we get slammed or someone calls out - we'll cross-train you to handle shifts on both sides.

Responsibilities
1) Cafe Days
- Greet guests and take food/beverage orders in a fast-paced environment
- Operate POS system and handle cash/card transactions
- Build relationships with our regular local customers
- Maintain clean, organized workspace
- Support peak service hours (Lunch 11am-1pm, dinner 5pm-7pm)
2) Reservations & Campstore Days
- Check in arriving guests and manage reservations with accuracy
- Answer phones and field inquiries from potential guests
- Sell campstore items and manage inventory
- Process payments and troubleshoot guest issues
- Handle administrative tasks and evening check-ins
What we're looking for
- Reliable, consistent attendance-you're dependable
- Customer service experience-hospitality, food service, or retail background
- Detail-oriented especially with reservations and payments
- Willingness to learn - you can handle POS systems and reservation software
- Positive attitude- flexible, team-focused, ready for variety
- Physical capability - standing for extended periods, lifting up to 25 lbs
- Good communication - friendly with guests, clear with coworkers
- Nice to have: Food service certification, reservation system experience
Experience
- Previous food service or café experience and reservation experience is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn
- Familiarity with POS systems
- Experience in retail sales transactions, cashiering, or cash handling enhances your ability to succeed in this role
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques is beneficial
- Barista experience or coffee preparation skills are highly desirable
- Strong math skills for retail math, cash handling, and basic calculations are important for accuracy in transactions
- Excellent customer service skills combined with effective time management will help you thrive in this energetic environment
