Nationwide Legal is seeking an experienced AR & Billing Lead to oversee the Accounts Receivable and Billing operations for our Court Reporting Division. This position plays a critical role in ensuring timely billing, effective collections, and exceptional customer service while supporting the daily operations of the billing team.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and has a strong understanding of billing and collections in a fast-paced service environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day Accounts Receivable and billing operations for the Court Reporting Division.
- Oversee the billing team to ensure invoices are processed accurately and on time.
- Manage collections efforts and monitor aging reports to reduce outstanding receivables.
- Assist with billing questions, invoice corrections, payment processing, and account reconciliations.
- Support the team with complex billing issues, split billing, administrative fees, estimates, and client inquiries.
- Review billing accuracy and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Work closely with Sales, Client Services, Scheduling, and Production to resolve billing discrepancies.
- Identify opportunities to improve billing and collections processes and implement best practices.
- Prepare reports and provide updates on billing performance and collections.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of Accounts Receivable, Billing, or Collections experience.
- Prior leadership or team lead experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience with billing or accounting software preferred.
- Experience in the legal, court reporting, or litigation support industry is a plus.
