Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled General Dentist to join our dynamic dental team. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental histories, to develop personalized treatment plans.
- Perform a wide range of dental procedures such as dental examinations, cleanings, fillings, crowns, bridges, and prosthodontics.
- Carry out dental extractions and manage oral surgery cases with precision and care.
- Utilize dental imaging techniques and interpret results to inform treatment decisions.
- Apply aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to ensure patient safety and maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with specialists in pediatric dentistry, endodontics, and oral surgery when necessary for comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and update medical records in accordance with legal standards.
- Use dental terminology effectively to communicate diagnoses and treatment options clearly to patients.
- Engage in four-handed dentistry practices to enhance efficiency and patient comfort during procedures.
- Stay current with advancements in general dentistry, medical terminology, and dental fabrication techniques to provide the highest quality care.
Qualifications
- Dental degree from an accredited institution with valid licensure to practice dentistry.
- Proven experience in general dentistry within a clinical or dental office setting.
- Proficiency in using dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and record management.
- Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles and experience working with pediatric patients is preferred.
- Strong understanding of infection control standards, medical imaging procedures, and anatomy knowledge relevant to dentistry.
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess needs accurately and communicate effectively.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy and medical documentation standards.
- Ability to perform dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics procedures, and other restorative treatments confidently.
