Job Summary
The Rollback Driver is responsible for safely transporting vehicles and equipment using a rollback truck while delivering exceptional customer service. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, professionalism, and effective communication with dispatch, customers, and management. Drivers will travel throughout Colorado and surrounding states, including occasional day trips outside the Denver area, and must be able to operate safely in varying weather and road conditions.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate rollback trucks to transport vehicles and equipment.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicles.
- Maintain accurate trip documentation, delivery records, and required paperwork.
- Provide outstanding customer service while representing Western Distributing Transportation Corp. in a professional manner.
- Keep assigned truck clean, organized, and in good operating condition.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and management regarding pickups, deliveries, delays, and service updates.
- Operate safely in all weather and road conditions while complying with all traffic laws.
- Travel throughout Colorado and surrounding states, including day trips outside the Denver metropolitan area.
- Follow all company policies, DOT regulations, and safety procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 25 years of age.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (no DUI, DWI, or major moving violations).
- Previous rollback, towing, or recovery experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Colorado roadways and surrounding states.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Must be available to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays, as business needs require.
- Must be able to safely work in all weather conditions.
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical abilities evaluation, and background check.
