Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled CAD Drafter with proficiency in SolidWorks to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating precise and detailed 3D models and 2D drawings of mechanical systems, components, and assemblies. Your expertise will support product development, system design, and construction projects by translating conceptual ideas into clear, accurate technical drawings. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative projects while utilizing advanced CAD tools and adhering to industry standards.
Duties
- Develop detailed 3D models and 2D drawings of mechanical parts, assemblies, and systems using SolidWorks and other CAD software.
- Collaborate with design engineers to interpret project requirements and produce accurate schematics, P&ID diagrams, and system layouts.
- Ensure all drawings comply with ASME codes & standards, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and relevant industry specifications.
- Integrate design modifications based on feedback, perform assembly modeling, and prepare technical documentation for manufacturing or construction.
- Utilize additional tools such as Bluebeam, NavisWorks, Revit, MicroStation, Autodesk Inventor, Creo, and Pro/ENGINEER to support multi-disciplinary projects.
- Assist in creating piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), schematics, and system design layouts for mechanical systems.
- Support technical writing efforts by documenting design processes, drafting standards, and project specifications.
Experience
