Duties
- Greet customers warmly, listen actively to their vehicle concerns, and accurately document their needs.
- Explain repair and maintenance procedures clearly, providing expert advice on services such as oil changes, brake repairs, tire service, alignments, suspension work, and more.
- Prepare detailed auto estimates using computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools and communicate repair options effectively.
- Coordinate with technicians and mechanics to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of services.
- Upsell additional services and maintenance packages that enhance vehicle performance and safety while meeting customer needs.
- Manage service writing processes, including creating work orders, tracking repairs, and ensuring accurate documentation of all transactions.
- Handle cash transactions professionally while maintaining transparency with customers regarding costs and services.
- Maintain excellent customer service by following up on repairs, answering questions, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process.
- Stay informed about the latest automotive diagnostics techniques, collision repair procedures, diesel engine repair, auto body repair, air brake systems, shocks & struts, transmissions, and other mechanical systems.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in auto service management or as a service technician with strong mechanical knowledge.
- Experience working in a dealership or automotive repair shop environment preferred.
- Familiarity with automotive diagnostics software and computer-aided estimating tools is highly desirable.
- Hands-on mechanic experience with skills in vehicle maintenance such as oil changes, brake repairs, tire service, alignments, suspension work, and diesel engine repairs.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly to clients.
- Ability to upsell services confidently while maintaining integrity and transparency.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; driving experience is essential for test drives or vehicle inspections.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate record keeping and service writing.
- Knowledge of auto estimating processes including collision repair estimates and vehicle damage assessments is a plus.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
