Trayer Engineering is a hiring a Temp-to-hire Material Handler (Inventory and pulling of materials/parts). It is minimum 40 hours per week at our Livermore, CA location. The material handler maintains production and distribution of product by pulling orders from inventory; delivering production materials and supplies; staging finished product. This role must have material handler experience. There will be no Shipping/Receiving duties.
- Material Handler Job Duties:
- Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording location of inventory.
- Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on job orders.
- Maintains in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies.
- Prepares inventory for shipment to sub-contractors by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.
- Move materials to and from loading docks, delivery trucks, storage areas, and manufacturing areas.
- Identify and label materials and record their locations in the warehouse/on the shelves to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Perform and report daily cycle counts.
- Comply with all warehouse safety rules and guidelines.
Qualifications for Material Handler
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1 -2 years of experience working in material handling and logistics organization.
- Must be able to work well in a team.
- Ability to read, write and to follow instructions, and work independently with little guidance.
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time; ability to bend and to lift heavy materials.
- Ability to operate computers and relevant warehouse management computer software.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends.
