Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Lawn and Landscape Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces through various landscaping and lawn care tasks. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for outdoor maintenance. The technician will work on diverse projects, including landscape installation, maintenance, and seasonal services such as fertilizing lawns, ensuring client satisfaction and high-quality results. Provided the individual makes it 90 days without missing, a raise of 1 dollar will be implemented onto that persons check.
Duties
- Perform lawn care tasks such as mowing, edging, and trimming to maintain healthy and attractive lawns
- Execute landscape maintenance including pruning, planting, mulching, and bed edging
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and landscaping equipment such as excavators and irrigation systems
- Install and repair hardscape features like patios, walkways, and retaining walls
- Conduct tree care activities including trimming, pruning, and removal with proper safety procedures
- Operate a spreader or pump to apply fertilizers and herbicides to lawns
- Maintain equipment through routine cleaning and minor repairs to ensure optimal performance
- Follow safety guidelines and environmental practices during all operations
Skills
- Strong background in lawn care, landscape maintenance, gardening, and horticulture principles
- Experience with irrigation systems, and hardscape installation is preferred
- Ability to use hand tools effectively for various landscaping tasks
- Knowledge of landscaping techniques including planting, pruning, mowing, and landscape design principles
- Familiarity with construction practices related to outdoor projects
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions with physical stamina for manual labor
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills for maintaining equipment and completing projects efficiently
