Function
The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for maintaining all Hanes Dye and Finishing, Geo Components, and facility equipment. Maintenance Tech I oversee performing routine preventative facility and machine maintenance and are to maintain a high-quality standard through good preventative maintenance practices.
Duties-
Clean and inspect machines for worn, damaged, or mis-aligned parts.

Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and replacements as needed.

Working knowledge of pneumatic systems, fluid handling, and electrical systems.

Respond to calls in a timely manner and quickly troubleshoot manufacturing breakdowns to prevent unnecessary downtime.

Replace or rebuild worn guides, belts, bearings, gearboxes, and pumps.

Perform Boiler startup, blowdown procedure, and facility water treatment.

Follow Lock-out Tag-out procedures when working on equipment.

Must be able to multi-task in a high paced manufacturing environment.

General housekeeping, communication, and safe work practices.

Perform other duties that may be assigned by Manager.
Hours of Work-
1st Shift – 7a-3p 2nd Shift – 4p-12a
(May vary due to production requirements)
Requirements-
Must be a team player, and willing to assist in other areas when necessary.

Pneumatic and Hydraulic experience required.
-
Machine maintenance experience required.
-
Basic electrical experience preferred.
-
Pipefitting experience preferred.
-
HVAC experience preferred.

Facilities maintenance experience preferred.

High School Diploma or GED.
