Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) / ABA Behavior Technician (ABA BT) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work directly with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Your positive attitude and compassionate approach will help foster meaningful progress in clients’ communication, social skills, daily living activities, and overall behavior management. Duties
- Implement personalized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or other licensed professional
- Collect and record data on client behaviors, progress, and responses to interventions accurately and consistently
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, feeding, and hygiene routines
- Support clients during teaching sessions focused on communication skills, social interactions, and behavioral goals
- Help create a safe and supportive environment by applying effective behavior management strategies
- Collaborate with team members to develop and update care plans tailored to each client’s needs
- Maintain confidentiality of all client information in accordance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards
Skills
- Strong understanding of behavioral therapy techniques and principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA)
- Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members
- Ability to accurately collect, document, and analyze data related to client behaviors and progress
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance standards
- Patience, empathy, and a caring attitude essential for working with diverse populations in a behavioral health setting
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and adapt interventions as directed by supervising professionals
