Job Summary
J & M Pet Services LLC is looking for an Animal Concierge to join our team as it is growing. We are located at 4605 Alto Rd. Mt. Iron, MN 55768. Our ideal candidate is attentive, punctual, and engaged. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in animal care and veterinary practices, ensuring that our clients receive exceptional service and support. The Animal Concierge will be responsible for providing high levels of pet care, coordinating services, and maintaining a welcoming environment for both pets and their owners. If no experience as stated above we are willing to train the right candidate. This is a fast paced environment.
PLEASE NOTE: This position works approximately 30-40 hours a week, have set shift, but shifts may vary. 5 hours shifts are standard with some split shifts some days for a total of 10 hour days, weekends are mandatory, typically every other weekend off, Hourly wage, Tips, Employee Discounts, Sick Time, and more.
Responsibilities:
- Must love dogs!
- Greet clients and their pets upon arrival, providing a warm and friendly atmosphere.
- Clean up pee, poop, vomit, and other miscellaneous things caused by animals.
- Lead pack walks inside our facility.
- Clean all equipment, toys, dishes, suites, floors, etc. Cleaning is a big part of what we do.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the facility to promote a healthy environment for pets.
- Use common sense to solve problems as it relates to dogs in our care.
- Understand or learn about canine body language and how to make the dogs comfortable in meeting you and having you lead them into our facility.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 LBs, have great hand eye coordination, decent physical shape.
- Dogs will jump on you, wrap the leash around your legs, etc. so you must not have any physical limitations or issues that could be aggravated by this type of work.
- If you are addicted to your phone or call in sick frequently, this is NOT the job for you! We pay for performance, so if you are a hard worker who takes direction well, are quick on your feet, and have initiative to make your job great then this may be the job for you.

- Must have basic customer service skills and be able to follow our safety protocols.
